Description: A major client, located in Jersey City, NJ, is seeking an Application Development Senior Manager to be responsible for managing the full lifecycle management of Technology projects and programs supporting key business initiatives. The current and future programs and underlying projects will dramatically expand the functionality, reliability, and scalability for Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) products and provides a highly dynamic and fast-paced working environment. In addition, this position is charged with another strategic role: managing the vendor across the business (supporting Cash, Trade, Securities and Funds Services). In this role, the Relationship Manager will work internally with colleagues to understand and manage new project requests in support of on-boarding new clients and expanding the footprint of existing clients. Categorized as a critical vendor from client's Supplier Management perspective, this role has high visibility and is critical given the potential impact to 1200+ clients (including 300+ Platinum clients).
In both roles, this position entails working closely with the following internal clients and vendor teams to ensure the successful end-to-end delivery of all requests, projects, and programs:

Key Responsibilities:
- Program planning and execution (full lifecycle from Inception to Production Support)
- Communicate with Business, Operations, and Technology stakeholders in all regions globally to ensure accuracy and completeness of business and technical requirements
- Manage programs consisting of several projects and ensure that project deliverables and financials adhere to the timelines

Requirements: Specific Minimum Requirements (items are required unless noted otherwise):
- Dual Program and Vendor Manager role
- Very strong oral and written communication skills are a must (no exceptions)
- Strong organization, planning, and problem-solving skills
- 12+ years in total professional experience
- 8+ years of progressive IT experience developing, designing, architecting, managing complex Java/J2EE applications
- 5+ years of experience as Development Manager managing development teams for a complex global financial application having multiple interfaces with various regional applications
- 5+ years IT experience within the broad Financial Services industry
- 5+ years in vendor management experience
- 3+ years of experience managing team that has onshore/offshore components and (or) managing team that is distributed globally
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or business focus
- Ability to work in matrix environment, excellent influencing skills, focused and strategic thinker
- Ability to coach and mentor direct reports
- A pragmatic delivery oriented Sr. Development manager with Can-do mentality
- Have lead/managed development team through SDLC
- Experience managing budgets, variances, explanations for responsible projects
- Knowledge or implementation of Cash Management functions / applications (nice to have)
Tech Skills Required:
- Java/J2EE (8+ years)
- Good understanding of SOA architecture and its principles
- Hands on development experience on Java/J2EE applications (3+ years)
- Understanding of Web Services using SOAP, XML over HTTP (5+ years)
- Understanding of JMS technologies, IBM MQ, TIBCO or any other messaging infrastructure (4+ years)
- Understanding of SQL, SQL proc, Oracle/Db2 databases (5+ years)
- Understanding of application servers like IBM WebSphere, BEA WebLogic (5+ years)
- Experience working with source code repositories like CVS, ClearCase (3+ years)
