Description: A major client, located in New York City, is seeking a Technical Project Manager / Lead for their Data Group (DG) Documents Team. This is a key role in creating and maintaining a suite of applications for the documents Data platform in the Data Group. The successful candidate will be a member of a global development team interacting with business analysts and end users from client's business areas such as Equity, Fixed Income, Prime Brokerage, Securities Lending, and Global Wealth Management.
GDS and DocPoint are vital suites of applications central to the firm's risk assessment and control programs: AML, Client Identity, Credit Risk and Capital, Collateral Management, and Tax. These suites of applications provide document storage and retrieval services, document content capture, rules engine to evaluate documentation and non-documentation requirements, expiration and mailing services, reporting, and other key business functions. These applications are multi-tiered and employ various technologies including Java middleware, client-side C#, C++, ShadowDirect, PCLEX / Yacc, Shell script, and Sybase as the Database.
An opportunity exists for a Senior Technology Developer to join the team and oversee the ongoing development of the application.
In addition to active application development, key responsibilities will include:
- Planning, managing, and executing critical technology initiatives
- Leading acquisition due diligence and technology integration programs
- Driving innovation and creative solutions to business challenges
- Ensuring delivery of technology solutions on schedule and within quality goals
This person will appropriately leverage resources to deliver solutions, identify and mentor Technology Developers in order to build / maintain a high performance team, develop and adhere to project estimates and staffing plans, and adapt to and remain effective in a changing environment.

Requirements: The skills, experience, and knowledge required to be considered for this position include:
- Relational database design and development experience with focus on Sybase
- Object-Oriented Programming and Service Oriented Architecture experience
- Understanding of Design methodology and tools
- Demonstrated ability to engage with business and technology leaders
- Proven success leveraging technology to meet business objectives
- Experience with scalable technology solutions that adjust to cyclical business patterns
- Results-orientated individual with strong influencing, problem solving, consensus building, and negotiation skills
