Description:  Our client, located in Hoboken, NJ, is seeking a Business Process Architect (BPA) to be responsible for building the Regional Business Process Blueprint (BPB). The BPB needs to be maintained in an enterprise class modeling tool. The BPA will be the primary liaison between business and IT with respect to process modeling. Client may choose to use resource augmentation in order to provide sufficient capacity as the function is established. Essential Functions:
  • Analyze, document and model AS-IS business processes to build the Regional Business Process Blueprint.
  • Identify, document and analyze inefficiencies, bottlenecks and process duplication which can be simplified or streamlined to create the TO-BE business process. Identify, document and analyze business process risk.
  • Identify Key Performance Indicators and Critical Success Factors.
  • Map existing applications to business functions / business processes supported.
  • Stakeholder engagement with senior management (Practice leaders, business unit CEOs / COOs).
  • Assistance in creation of Business Cases related to the automation of business processes to move from AS-IS to an automated or system supported TO-BE state.
  • Review of use cases and other documentation produced by project teams to ensure TO-BE processes will be adequately supported.
  • Work with Business Subject Matter Experts to troubleshoot processes during UAT phases of process automation projects.
  • Liaison & knowledge sharing with other regional BPAs to ensure common & consistent standards, practices & methodologies.
Requirements:  Qualifications:
  • Demonstrable skills working in a structured analysis environment including sign-off from relevant stake holders on all documentation.
  • Ability to accurately assess project risks and raise risks and issues to senior team members as appropriate.
  • Experience in project initiation and requirements phases of large technology or business change planning, execution, and benefits realization.
  • Knowledge of technology environments, including telecommunications, networks, programming, media, and desktops.
  • Understanding of the organization's goals and objectives, IT Strategy objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply technology solutions to business problems
  • Understanding of client's core enterprise applications. Proven experience in systems requirements capture and requirements design.
  • Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Solid understanding of computer systems characteristics, features, and integration capabilities.
  • Exposure to business theory, business processes, management, budgeting, and business office operations.
  • Excellent understanding of project management principles.
  • Proven experience in planning, organization, and project delivery.
  • Exposure to / knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to technology issues.
  • Excellent technical analysis and technical support documentation skills.
  • Ability to conduct research into emerging business process management practices and trends, standards, and products as required.
  • Ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
