Description: As a Cognos Developer, you will perform the following duties:
- Analyze existing Cognos 7 cubes and reports and prepare for migration or re-creation using Query Studio and Report Studio.
- Conversion and enhancement of existing Impromptu web reports and cubes from Cognos7 to Cognos 8.4.1.
- Designing reports with relational and dimensional data sources
- Understand and maintain Framework Manager data Models
- Use Cognos Transformer tool to design cube models
- Work within team environment and coordinate work assignments
- Provide estimates of work effort and status on work completion
- Communication of work/task issues and additional effort needed to complete task before task is due

Requirements: The minimum requirements to qualify for this position are as follows:
- 6+ years of formal IT application system testing experience in a data warehouse and reporting system.
- Experience working with data warehousing projects and teams.
- Experience writing complex queries on Oracle database is required
- Ability to follow the documented instructions and work/resolve independently.
- Solid experience with data warehouse report definition and distribution, cube generation, bursting and security processes.
- 3 years experience with Cognos Report Studio
- 3 years experience with Cognos Query Studio
- 3 years experience with Cognos Analysis Studio and Transformer
- 3 years experience with Cognos7 Impromptu, Power Play, Access Manager and IWR
- 5+ years SQL Query
- Change/Code management experience preferred for configuration management
